I love pubs, a glass of wine or craft beer out with friends, watching footie or rugby, eating a lovely meal or just sitting and reading the Sunday paper. Pubs are an integral part of British life and I never tire of visiting new places and, of course, getting some quick sketches to turn them into finished paintings back at the studio. To create the vibrant colours in this series, I have worked with Water Colour markers and Gouache highlights. The ink pigments in the markers create a more vivid and brighter colour than you might see with traditional watercolours. Also - check out the bottles and glasses collection - for some of your favourite/classic drinks. All pubs are available as limited edition prints on either 300gsm water colour paper or printed onto canvas. They can come framed (natural wood, white or black) or in a mountboard. Available for collection from Piccalillidesign studios in Guernsey (Mill street) or can be shipped worldwide. (Price dependent on size/weight but will be quoted before payment).
